Frequently asked questions
How do I learn the tones?
For the first 2 weeks we work only on pinyin and tones — after that everything is easy.
Which HSK level do I need for a scholarship?
Many universities require HSK 4 or higher; some programmes accept HSK 3.
How long does each stage last?
Each stage is 2 months; after it you move to the next level — 6 stages from A1 to C2. In Japanese and Chinese the upper stages usually take longer than 2 months.
